The best part of the Olympics is that it's during work hours. Seriously, you could get caught watching the Olympics, and no one would even care. I mean, it's the Olympics. It only happens once every four years; how could you miss an iconic moment during the dull hours of work? Luckily for us employees, the Olympics are on all day long. As long as we have our computers, you can catch us checking up on the latest medal count while we are supposed to be filling out spreadsheets. Or at least we can crack up to ourselves as the hilarious and quick-witted memes that have come out of the games. My work even had a watch party for the games. It lasted most of the workday, and it was a valid excuse to skip work. The flyer said to bring your laptop and cowork, but there wasn't much of that going on. More like all of the work besties from around the company came together to play hooky and enjoy some light refreshments. Heck, even if I didn't like the Olympics, I'd still be there.
